The assignment was to design a business card with focus on the relations between the sender, the receiver and the message.

THE SENDER

I chose Kolding Krisecenter which is a local women's shelter. Their website has a function of secrecy - see to the right.

By the click of a button you are transferred to a not-so-suspicious website. A function holding protection, empathy and an easy escape.
A way to not get caught.
THE RECIEVER

My first versions - seen above - all tried to hide the phone number of the shelter, but were too intriguing in their shape and material. I overlooked the receiver: the women. They need a card that doesn't stand out. That doesn't evoke suspicion - like a little piece of paper.

Some times simple is better.
THE MESSAGE

I came up with the little folded paperplane. Something the women could even fold themselves and pass on to others in need - see guidance above.

You can pull out the bottom part which reveals the number for the shelter. There is also a secret message in the cut-out at the top - it's a reference to the shelter's logo.

Those who get it, get it.
